Fourth graders build greater confidence and responsibility as they strengthen outdoor, teamwork, and everyday skills.

Six adventures. Skills that grow.

Scouts earn their rank by completing these six required adventures and at least two electives. Start with Bobcat, then explore the others with your den and family.

Bobcat

Webelos connect the Scout Oath and Law with their choices and responsibilities. They create a den code of conduct, learn how a denner helps lead, and practice Cub Scout signs and greetings. A parent or guardian guides personal-safety activities at home.

Stronger, Faster, Higher

Webelos plan, cook, and share a balanced meal, then explore fitness through group movement and individual exercises. They practice activities that develop strength, flexibility, and endurance, along with relaxation—building skills they can use to make healthy choices every day.

My Safety

Webelos learn personal-safety rules and look for ways to make home or meeting spaces safer. With their family, they identify hazardous household products and safe storage, then plan how to prepare for natural events that could affect their area.

My Family

Webelos explore family faith traditions through a craft, artwork, or food and carry out an act of kindness. They compare shared values with another faith and discuss what reverence means and how they can express it in daily life.

My Community

Webelos discover how communities make decisions by comparing voting methods and speaking with an elected representative. They trace a federal law through the three branches of government and put citizenship into practice by participating in a service project.

Webelos Walkabout

Webelos plan and complete a two-mile walk, choosing a route, checking the forecast, and packing essentials. They practice first aid for common trail problems and responsible outdoor habits, then reflect on what went well and what they would improve next time.
