Thank you for your interest in Lakewood Cub Scout Pack 54! We’re excited to welcome new families into our scouting community, where kids learn, grow, and have fun together. We are a family pack, which means that we accept both boys and girls as cub scouts from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.
We hold pack meetings (all grades) at least once per month, as well as den meetings (individual grade levels) once or twice a month. Awards and major events/outings take place at the pack meetings. At the den level, each scout completes adventures as they work toward earning that respective rank. Prospective scouts can join any time throughout the year, and may begin their scouting journey at any grade K-5.
We normally meet locally, within the neighborhood. Some special events such as campouts and hikes may take place a short drive from Lakewood.
Pack 54 is about having Fun, finding Adventure, and developing Leadership. Throughout the year we join together for activities where we learn about our community, how to be responsible citizens, and to take care of ourselves and others.
Scouting is a family activity and parents and siblings are welcome at our events. Our pack functions solely from volunteer support from parents, who serve as pack leaders, den leaders, and other various necessary roles to keep our pack together.
Some of our Pack events and activities are: the Pinewood Derby, the Rain Gutter Regatta, Museum visits, Hikes, Campouts, Service Projects such as Scouting for Food.
Our dens consist of cub scouts within the same grade. At den meetings, scouts learn life skills, develop leadership abilities, explore our community, and outdoor skills.
